Turning Talent into Possibility

At DreamOut Loud, creativity becomes a pathway to hope and possibility for New Bedford’s youth. Through its free after-school arts program, more than 100 students ages 12–18 discover their talents, learn new skills, and envision brighter futures built on creativity and purpose. Each week, students take part in two-hour classes that explore the visual and performing arts while also introducing them to potential careers in the creative industries.

Many of these young participants come from low-income families, face academic challenges, or live in neighborhoods affected by violence. Yet, within DreamOut Loud’s studios, they find mentorship, safety, and inspiration. The White Family Foundation’s support helps ensure that these young artists have access to the tools and guidance they need to reimagine their futures—and to see the arts not just as expression, but as opportunity.
